Singapore shares opened higher, STI up to 3,519.71

Stock trading in Singapore on Monday (May 24 ) seemed favorable as the Singapore shares opened higher with the Straits Times Index increasing 6.48 focuses or 0.18 percent to  3,519.71 as at the opening time toward the beginning of seven days that will see exchanging occasions saw crosswise over significant markets the world over also the Strait Times Index closed at 3,518.48

Strait Times Index down to 3513.23


SINGAPORE: Stock trading in Singapore on today (May 25 ) seemed unfavorable as the Singapore shares opened lower with the Straits Times Index withdrawing 10.04 focuses, or 0.3 for each penny to 3,518.88  as at the opening time also the Strait Times Index closed lower at 3,513.23.

This came as an unstable day on Wall Street saw US stocks mauling back a portion of its misfortunes overnight after US President Donald Trump crossed out an arranged summit with North Korean pioneer Kim Jong Un. 

On the Singapore bourse, gainers dwarfed failures 55 to 43, after around 30.5 million offers worth $54.5 million changed hands. 

The most effectively exchanged counter by volume was QT Vascular, which rose 5.9 for each penny to 1.8 Singapore pennies with 5.3 million offers exchanged. 

Different actives stocks included YZJ Shipbuilding SG, which fell 2.8 for every penny to $1.05; and DBS which was around 0.8 for each penny to $28.73.

Singapore Shares Open Higher On Friday; STI up 0.6%


SINGAPORE - Singapore stocks opened higher on Friday (Feb 23), with the Straits Times Index rising 0.6 per cent, or 22.61 points to 3,511.07 as at 9.03am.

This came despite US stocks ending mixed overnight, with the S&P 500 and the Dow inching up slightly, and the Nasdaq closing in the red.

On the Singapore bourse, about 54.2 million shares worth S$115.5 million changed hands. Gainers outnumbered losers 119 to 33.

The most actively traded counters were JEP Holdings which rose 7.9 per cent to 8.2 Singapore cents with 10.6 million shares traded; and Thai Beverage which was down 1.2 per cent to S$0.82, with 8.6 million shares traded.

Other active index stocks included OCBC Bank which was up 1.7 per cent, or 22 Singapore cents to S$13.32; and UOB which was up 1 per cent, or 27 Singapore cents to S$27.79.

Singapore Stocks Quit For The Day On Thursday

It fell by S$0.06, or 6.59 percent, to S$0.85. 

The Singapore market will revive for exchanging on Monday.

Flat Falls In Singapore Shares, Noble Start Trading Lower

Singapore Shares Reach 0.82% On Friday


Singapore shares closed its two-day trade on Friday as the benchmark Straits Times Index closed at 295.03 points or 0.82 percent at 3,550.36.

The market turned 1.47 billion shares into hands, which is all for $ 1.4 billion in value.

Profit losses 271 to 165

Sembcorp Industries, which has an index rising upwards of 14.93 million shares, increased S $ 0.14 or 4.31 percent to S $ 3.39.


In the market, there was a complete attachment to the rumors of plans to take forward the initial public offering of an entity in India.

The taxi company, Combinedale Gray, added a turnover of S $ 0.06, or 2.99 percent to S $ 2.07 to 20.45 million shares.

Casino operator Genting Singapore moved to S $ 1.33 with a gain of $ 0.01 or 0.76 percent, as 18.44 million shares changed hands.

Singapore Shares Up 0.2% Above


The Singapore Stock Exchange fell on Friday on two straight days of losses and closed 7.9 points or 0.2 percent higher at 3,520.56.

Turnover came in 2.4 billion shares of $ 1.2 billion dollars, compared to $ 3.3 billion in Thursday's 1.1 billion dollars.

The beneficiaries are losers with 285 counters and 176 counters.

Singapore Shares Rise 1 Point On Thursday Open

Consumer confidence in the United States was higher in December, although it was lower than last month's record. The confidence seen near the conference board for the important months in retail sales fell to 122.1 in November from the highest of 17 years in November.

Singapore Shares Start Trading On Positive Ground Noon; STI 3,391.66



Singapore shares started trading in positive zone with the Straits Times Index on Friday afternoon, with a rise of 0.3 percent, or 9.13 points, day 1.03 a.m.

Singapore Shares Continue Marginally Bring Down On Thursday; STI at 3,438.15



Singapore shares started trading on Thursday afternoon at 3,438.15 with the Stratus Times Index, 0.9 percent or 30.62 points, with a fall of 1.02 a.m.

The loss is greater than 153 to 123, of which there are 708.3 million shares of the turnover of 488.8 million dollars.

Among the most active shares, MDR was the most traded stock, which was flat in S $ 0.004, in which 72.78 million shares were held.

Other active groups include Eliide Tech, 41.6 million shares on S $ 0.071 per share, S $ 0.002 up, and 25.05 million shares from GST Energy on S $ 0.17, which is above S $ 0.014.

Singapore Shares Rise In Open On Wednesday; 0.12% to 3,446.6 In STI

The Street Times Index rose by 0.12 percent or 4.25 points to 3,446.60 on Tuesday at 9.04, strengthening the shares of Singapore stocks, Wall Street shares surged overnight for new records overnight.
